My Regimen

this is a constant work in progress

Here’s a quick list:

The top supplements that aspire to take, or should take (almost) every day:

Krill Oil: 500 mg / day – Neptune Krill Oil (NKO)
Curcumin (Turmeric): I take Now Foods Curcumin 95 (or other brands) once a day (with olive or coconut oil) + add organic turmeric root to cooked food whenever possible.
Alpha Lipoic Acid (ALA): I take Stabilized R-Lipoic Acid (Na-RALA) 100mg/meal
Acetyl L-Carnitine (ALCAR): 500mg/meal.
Vitamin D3: I take one supplement pill with D3 (5000 IU) + K2 (90mcg) a day
Vitamin K2: Sometimes I take additional 100mcg of K2 (from Natto) i.e.  menaquinone-7 (MK-7)
Resveratrol: I take Nature’s Answer Trans Resveratrol or Now Foods Natural Resveratrol 200mcg/day.
Vitamin B-Complex: I take this on and off, as I could afford to: Mega Food balanced B-complex.
Vitamin C: I take one of these each day: 1000mg PureWay-C (Metabolic C), and 500mg of any Ascorbic Acid usually comes with Bioflavonoid or Enchinaca. If I feel under the weather I take 4grams of C a day. I also take an occasional 500mg of Ascorbate Mineral-C.
Selenium: 100 to 200 mcg of one of these: Selenium-SEMSC, L-selenomethionine, or methylselenocysteine. I alternate.
Probiotics: I take one pill of Jarrow EPS Probiotic every other day. I prefer to eat sourkraut or drink Apple Cider Vinegar when I can.
Magnesium: Magnesium Citrate 1 to 3 caps a day. I also like to apply some Magnesium Oil topically on my arms or legs every now and then.
Potassium: Every other day I take a pill with 200mg Magnesium Aspartate hydrochloride & 150 mg Potassium Aspartate hydrochloride.
Trace Minerals: I add 5 drops of Concentrace to 1 gallon of reverse osmosis (RO) water. I use unrefined Celtic Sea Salt on food. Then, I take the occasional Ascorbate Mineral-C.
Betaine HCl: I take a few pills of Betaine HCl with large protein meals.
Enzymes: Sometimes I take a pill of mixed digestive enzymes.
Iodine: I am currently taking one Optimox – Iodoral 12.5mg pill a day. other brands that I used include: Jcrow Lugols, TPCS Iosol Formula II, Terry-Natural – Tri-Iodine. At times I up the dosage until I get detox symptoms then scale down.
Zinc: I take one of the Jarrow Formulas, Inc. Zinc Balance.
Ashawagandha: I take 1 pill of Ashawagandha or Ashawagandha extract (Sensoril – Ashawagandha) if I am stressed or to help with sleep.
Vitamin E: I take one of either: E-1000 Mixed Tocopherols or Advanced Gamma E Complex ever other day.
Vitamin A: I take 10,000IU sometimes.
Taurine: I take 1000mg when I eat high carb or fake food, sometimes, on and off.
Choline & Inositol: I sometimes take 500 MG, on and off.
Vitamin B7 Biotin:  I used to take this, now I either take a B-Complex or the multivitamin.
Coconut Oil: I make sure to eat some Organic Extra Virgin Unrefined Coconut Oil daily.
Olive Oil: When I eat rice I pour some organic extra virgin olive oil on it.
Mushrooms: I’m experimenting now..
Teas: I make different tea, green, white, dandelion, or ginger.
Chlorella: Detox, 3 at night 3 in the AM
Garlic: (Started 12/14/2011) I take 1/2 a garlic head at night and 1/2 in the AM.

Multivitamin: I recently (12/13/2011) started taking MHP Activite Sport. When I didn’t take this I took Mega Food balanced B-Complex. I stopped the B complex for now to save $.

Other Foods:

I eat meat twice a day sometimes more. I eat grass fed beef and organic chicken. I also eat eggs 4-5 times a week. I eat rice often. I use spices as they are healthy.

I eat sardines 2-5 times a week.

I eat raw walnuts, almonds and pumpkin and apricot seeds.

I eat raw greens and herbs once daily. I try to eat broccoli and cauliflowers steamed once daily or raw with additional iodine intake to counter the goitrogenic effects.

Note: I take one month off supplements a year. I take one day off most the supplements every week. Sometimes I stop one or more supplements for a month then re-add them.

Bad foods that I eat:

  • Pizza (gluten free) with cheese
  • Dairy
  • Potato chips and french fries
  • coffee
  • sugar when i cant avoid it (as in chocolate, organic free pastries, ketchup)

Things I dont eat:

Other Good Activities I do:

  • I use a boar bristle brush to brush my hair. I did this in the past, stopped, and restarted again on 12/19/2011. It feels great.
  • I clean my hair 4-5 times a week. I keep it short.
  • I often ground myself while asleep (connect myself to a grounding cord), it helps me sleep better and also should reduce inflammation wherever it may be.
  • I meditate twice a week.
  • I exercise 2-3 times a week – starting December 2011.
  • I should fast one day a month.
  • I removed the root canal tooth I had! July 2011

Bad Activities I do:

  • I stress out
  • I don’t sleep enough
  • I don’t get enough physical activity
  • I don’t ground/earth myself enough (only done at night while sleeping)
  • I don’t get enough sunlight
  • I don’t have enough good times socializing with loved ones or friends
  • I forget to rest
  • I slack on taking supplements as regularly as I should
  • I inhale car fumes every day on the road
  • I use a cell phone
  • I work in an environment heavy in electromagnetic fields, wireless, monitors, cables..
  • I use a cell phone all the time
  • I take vitamin C too close to the main meals (containing iron) increasing iron absorption.
  • I drink bottled and tap water at work, at cafes, at restaurants – (contain no minerals and contain fluoride, chlorine and other bad chemicals even arsenic)
  • I eat food from plastic, and catering boxes.. risking ingesting plastic and water-proofing chemicals of these containers.
  • I keep a pet increasing exposure to allergen and pet germs.
  • I eat corn at times, which is likely GMO (AFAIAC all corn in the US is GMO now)
  • I dont get much if any acupuncture done
  • I barely get any good body massages done
  • I don’t massage my scalp or have someone do it for me enough
  • I don’t meditate enough
  • I don’t practice QiGong enough
  • I have not gone sugar free 100% yet
  • I have not gone caffeine free yet
  • My seated posture is often not straight enough
